polar hide and seek

Most people don’t know it, but playing dead around a bear will only get your face mauled off.  The correct way to escape from a bear is to challenge him to a game of hide and seek.

Flash Traffic Priority Transmission: Which Takes Longer? Taxes or Lord of The Rings?

I have gathered up what I think is all my tax stuff that I’ll need.  So I thought it would be fun to see which would take longer to do…

My taxes...

or watching Lord of the Rings?

Now these are the extended, director’s cut versions of Lord of the Rings.  So that means I have roughly 12 hours of time at least.  Which is good because my taxes are a wreck.

The movies will only run while I’m working on my taxes.  The tough part will be trying to do my taxes and not stop to watch the movies.  Luckily my entertainment center and my computer are in separate rooms, so I’ll be listening to a lot of the movies.  And of course there will be updates as I go.

Flash Traffic Priority Transmission #1203152: Doc’s March Madness Bracket

So Carlton from the morning show had me pick teams for this basketball bracket.  Since I know nothing about sports, I had three methods of picking.

1. If the mascots for each team got in a fight, who I think would win in that fight.

2. If the teams didn’t have a physical mascot, or the mascots were confusing, which team colors I liked best.

3. If I didn’t like either team’s colors, whichever name sounded cooler.

The hardest pick in the whole bracket for me was the Wisconsin Badgers against the Michigan Wolverines because, I mean, come on, they’re pretty much both the most bad ass animals ever.  Also, the Temple Owls against the Michigan Wolverines was another tough pick.

I guess we’ll see how I do.  On one of the sports shows on the station, I went 9-4 in Monday Night Football picks with zero football knowledge.
